How to Choose the Right Belt Size

Buying a belt online should be simple, but choosing the right size can sometimes feel confusing. At The Belt Co, we want you to order with confidence, so we’ve put together a simple guide to help you choose the right belt size before you buy.

The easiest way to find your belt size is to measure a belt you already own.

Lay your current belt flat on a table or floor. Measure from the buckle pin to the hole you use most often. That measurement is your belt size.

For example, if the measurement from the buckle pin to your most-used hole is 100cm, then a 100cm belt should be the right choice.

How to measure your current belt:

1. Take a belt that fits you comfortably.
2. Lay it flat.
3. Measure from the buckle pin to the hole you use most.
4. Use that measurement as your belt size.

If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. This gives you a little more room and a more comfortable fit.

You can also measure around your waist where you normally wear your belt. Use a soft measuring tape and measure around your waist while wearing the type of pants you would usually pair with the belt. This gives you a good idea of the size you should choose.

As a simple guide:

85cm suits smaller waist sizes.
90cm to 100cm suits many regular waist sizes.
105cm to 115cm suits larger waist sizes.
120cm to 130cm is best for bigger fits or people who prefer extra length.

Please remember that belt sizing can vary depending on how you wear your pants. Some people wear their belt higher on the waist, while others wear it lower on the hips. That is why measuring a belt you already use is usually the safest method.

At The Belt Co, our Heritage Leather Belts are available in multiple sizes so you can choose the fit that works best for you. Each belt is made for everyday wear and pairs well with jeans, chinos, workwear, and smart-casual outfits.

A well-fitting belt should feel comfortable, sit neatly through your belt loops, and give you a few holes of adjustment. It should not feel too tight, and it should not leave too much extra length hanging past the buckle.

Quick belt sizing tips:

• Measure a belt you already own for the most accurate result.
• Measure from the buckle pin to the hole you use most often.
• Choose the larger size if you are between sizes.
• Think about where you normally wear your pants.
• Contact us before ordering if you are unsure.

Choosing the right belt size makes a big difference. A good belt should not only look right, but also feel comfortable throughout the day.
